Frequently asked questions
How long is each story?
You choose: typically 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes. Longer stories are more elaborated; shorter ones are snappier. All are paced for wind-down.
What if my child is still awake after the story?
The story is designed to help them relax, but every child is different. If they're not asleep, you can play it again, or just let them rest quietly. No pressure.
Does the story have to be the same character every night?
No. You can pick a different character and theme every night, or stick with favorites. Talo remembers preferences so personalization gets stronger over time.
Can I share a story my child loved?
Yes. You can regenerate a story with the same settings, or use our "Gift a Story" feature to send a favorite to another family.
What happens if Talo generates something weird or off-brand?
It's rare, but it happens. You can always regenerate, and we continuously improve the model based on parent feedback. Rate stories in the app to help us learn.
Is the transcript searchable?
Not yet, but you can read, download, or print any transcript from your parent dashboard. Full-text search is on our roadmap.
What age should I start with Talo?
Ages 3–8 is our sweet spot. At 3, they understand simple narratives; by 8, they start wanting more complex plots. Talo adapts to age automatically.
